BDCC joins hands with the City to remedy the flood’s consequence in Viet Hai commune – Cat Hai district – Hai Phong city

Answering the call of Hai Phong’s Municipal Committee, People’s Committee, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, getting the advocate of City Farmer Association, on 26th August 2015, BDCC’s Delegates including Mr. Dao Viet Dung – BDCC’s Chairman, Mr. Le Trung Kien – BDCC’s General Director and other leaders of BDCC’s departments came to visit, encourage and share the difficulties and loss of spirit and materials with the farmers in Viet Hai commune and Gia Luan commune – Cat Hai district resulting from the flood. In Viet Hai commune, BDCC supported 50 VND million of flood remedial expenditure to Mr. Bui Duy Lap’s family – a member of Commune Farmer Group.

In the final days of last July, Hai Phong suffered from a hard rain which caused a flood on large area. Especially in Cat Hai district, the flood inundated many residences and public places. Some places was inundated down to 2.5m, and the whole area of civil residence and production land was under water, causing a great damage of property, houses, farm produces and putting the residents’ life into much difficulty. Among them, the family of Mr. Bui Duy Lap – a Viet Hai farmer – was one of extremely difficult households for their old house was now badly downgraded because of the flood. Wishing to somehow share with their problems resulted from the disaster and help Mr. Lap with house repair expenditure, BDCC’s leaders came to encourage and support his family with 50 VND million.

On behalf of BDCC’s leaders, Mr. Le Trung Kien – General Director claimed that: Supporting and sharing difficulty with miserable families was always the hearty wish of whole BDCC’s staff. With “The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves” tradition, BDCC wished to continue getting the advocate and connecting of Hai Phong Farmer Association to help poor families to settle down, and contribute to social welfare assignments together with city authority the next time
