This work covers the passover coming from Le Thanh Tong street to Road No.356 with seven 35-meter spans, 252.2 meter in total length, 18.5 meter in width, using hard separator. The intersection under bridge is arranged with a roundabout of 25-meter in radius, 4 lanes, a drainage system, green trees, lighting system. As approved, the work of the passover should have been finished 900 days ahead, 700 days ahead for the intersection under bridge. The work, nevertheless, was completed in 180 days for the passover, 100 days for the intersection under bridge. The whole work has been finished in 8 months, meaning 18 months ahead of the first plan. When the work is brought into use, it shall minimize the traffic jam and accidents, conditioning all other transportation enterprises to speed up the flow of goods through Hai Phong port.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung – Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee emphasized the special importance of the intersection at the T-junction of Nguyen Binh Khiem and Road 356 in cargo traffic through Hai Phong port when 90% of goods at port should be transported through it. The cargo through Hai Phong port increased 15%/year on average; it was estimated to reach 92 million tons in 2017. Lately, the growing amount of cargo had caused a serious traffic jam, badly affecting on enterprises’ production and business, especially the ones in the field of cargo transportation and at Hai Phong port. The investment on the work, therefore, should enable transportation enterprises to speed up the cargo flow through Hai Phong port. With the initiativity, creativity and drastic measures, after 8 months only, the work of plan clearance and execution all had been completed at high quality and safety as well as at shortened schedule as committed.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Khai – BDCC General Director confirmed the importance of the project and the responsibilities of the contractors in execution. BDCC and other contractors, therefore, had no hesitation of days and night, gathering construction equipment and machines and the man force to the best to complete the work. The work commenced on 03/3/2017 and finished in 08 months at high quality and safety as well as at shortened schedule of 17 months ahead.
