On 05/01/2018 morning, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Package CW2 – Upgrading and rehabilitating An Duong Water Treatment Plant under Rehabilitating and Upgrading Project of Hai Phong Water Supply System – Stage 2. Attending the Ceremony was Mrs. Phan Thi My Linh – Member of Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Construction, leader representatives of the units under MOC, Mr. Pham Van Ha – Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee, leader representatives of Hai Phong city and local functional departments and services, Mr. Vu Hong Duong – Chairman of Hai Phong Water Supply Company – Representative for the Employer, Mr. Nguyen Trong Khai – BDCC General Director – Representative for Contractor Joint Venture; leaders of contractors and representatives of mass media and local television.

Package CW2 is one of the importance in the point of the City’s view, including: Rehabilitating An Duong Water Treatment Plant from 100,000 m3/day up to 200,000 m3/day; constructing the loading pipelines of D800-D500 for An Duong Water Treatment Plant in Vo Nguyen Giap street. There will be a technological line for An Duong plant on the completion of the package, meeting the demand of fresh, clean water on quality and quantity for 04 urban districts: Hong Bang, Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, Hai An, Dinh Vu Industrial zone and Cat Hai island, also contributing to complete the goal of rehabilitating and upgrading project of Hai Phong Water Supply System – stage 2: Ensuring the environmental hygiene conditions and community health through the supply on fresh water for citizens, on the other side, synchronically upgrading the water supply system, improving the management capacity, service quality, meeting the needs for water at present, compatible with long lasting zoning to 2025 with the vision to 2050.

Joint Venture of Bach Dang Construction Corporation-JSC and Salcon company (Malaysia) regarded as strong and reputed enterprises in construction and material supply, winning the confidence of the Employer to execute the work. The contractor joint venture declared to gather modern equipment and man force to ensure the requirement of art-technology, quality, ensuring the occupation safety and hygiene with the aim to complete the package 10 months ahead of the schedule which shall last 28 months (completing in 18 months, from the inauguration).
