On 08/12/2018, Hai Duong Province People’s Committee held the Ceremony of opening to public traffic for the route connecting 62-metre extending road to the intersection of Hanoi – Haiphong expressway under Investment Project of Construction of 62-metre extending road from New Urban Zone in the west of Hai Duong city to Gia Loc District. Mr. Vu Thanh Phong – BDCC’s Deputy General Director representing BDCC leaders attended the Ceremony.

The route connecting 62-metre extending road to the intersection of Hanoi – Haiphong expressway is under Investment Project of Construction of 62-metre extending road from New Urban Zone in the west of Hai Duong city to Gia Loc District.
The route runs the length of 4.5km, the starting point is at Km2+500 on the 62-metre extending road in Lien Hong commune, Gia Loc district. The ending point is at the intersection of Hanoi – Haiphong expressway and National road 38B in Toan Thang commune, Gia Loc district.
The route is constructed in accordance with main road level II at designed speech of 80km/h. Road cross section runs 62m in width, including 6 traffic lanes, 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicle, central separator is 11.5m in width. Pavements are allocated on 2 sides, 10-metre wide for each.
The work is invested into 2 phases. Phase 1 deals with plan clearance within the scope of 62-metre road width, building the left half with the width of 26.25m, implementation period is within 2016 – 2018. Phase 2 deals with the right half after 2018. Bach Dang Construction Corporation JSC is the contractor implementing Phase 1. The work started in February 2017, the Phase 1 has been completed, meeting the Employer’s requirement of HSE, quality and progress.
Opening the route to public traffic shall ensure the synchronous traffic infrastructure in the area, avoiding the congestion in the south of Hai Duong city, connecting Hanoi – Haiphong expressway to Highway No.5, creating a driving force for the economical development of Hai Duong province and the region.
