On 07/11/2017 morning, in Thach That district, Hanoi city, Bach Dang Construction Corporation-JSC. incorporated with Vietnam Academy for Water Resources to hold the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Package V1 (Component 2 – Enhancing the management capacity to irrigation and educational facilities of Vietnam Academy for Water Resources) under North Nghe An Irrigation Upgrading Project. Attending the Ceremony was Mr. Do Van Thanh – Deputy Director General of Water Resource Directorate under Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, leader representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam, leader representatives of other departments, agencies in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Vu Viet – Director of Vietnam Academy for Water Resources – Employer Representative, leaders of Vietnam Academy for Water Resources through its development history. BDCC delegation included Mr. Nguyen Trong Khai – General Director, Mr. Luu Hong Giang – Deputy General Director and managers of functional departments. Also, it was attended by mass media and news agencies’ representatives who came to broadcast the event.

Package V1 scales within civil works level 3 on the area of 4.12 ha, construction density of 23%, total height of 4 floors, gross floor area of 21,746 m2, including: office, meeting hall, lecture rooms, dormitory and canteen, covered experiment building, technical infrastructures, supplying and installing equipment for educational building.

The Package aims at technical support and capacity enhancement to water management for North Nghe An Irrigation Upgrading Project, replicating and applying for Central Region, Delta area of Red River, Mekong River; enhancing the capacity of research and education for Vietnam Academy for Water Resources, rehabilitating and modernizing the works in contribution for minimizing the natural disasters risks and adapting to climate change, increasing the management competence of national water resources, setting up bases for education and research on water resource under Vietnam Academy for Water Resources to reach the advanced and modern level on a par with other Asian countries .

Package V1 is one of important works and the completion on it shall make a big contribution to achievement of general goal of the whole Project. Chosen and highly appreciated by Employer, Contractor BDCC shall gather modern equipment and man force sufficiently to secure the hygiene safety and health, work quality and catch up with the schedule as requested.
