Mrs. Thep’s family was an agricultural family in Cam La hamlet, Kien Thuy district. They had lived in a house built in 1980s with simple materials at that time. The house had been badly downgraded, likely to collapse at any minute. However, they had no money to repair; they, therefore, had to live together with the worry of house collapse every time the flood comes.
With the whole heart solidarity of BDCC staffs, the hope to somehow share difficulties with Mrs. Thep’s family, to help them reduce house-building expenditure and improve their living-condition to overcome the difficult life, BDCC leaders came to encourage and support them with 50 VND million.
This was an activity in a chain of meaningful programs which BDCC aimed at helping poor families to get a better life. It also showed BDCC’s responsibility to society, and BDCC’s contribution to social security and new rural building duty together with Hai Phong’s Authority.
