Chimney foundation was constructed by BDCC youth

Chimney foundation was placed on 110 bored pile heads D = 800 mm with a depth of 60m, diameter of 26m and the height of foundation grid is 3.3 m. Total concrete weight is 2000m3; rebar quantity is 200 tons and 245m2 of formwork which is a  base  for chimney sharp with height of 205m. Construction procedures and close supervision was made by BDCC to ensure progress, quality, and labor safety.

The chimney foundation is a key work of Mong Duong 1 thermal power plant. According to the main contractor HDEC, construction time is 24 days beginning from 17th February 2013 and completing on 15th March 2013. It was completed 05 days earlier as required. Under close management of the Project Management Board’ leaders and the efforts and enthusiasm of 50 workers and youth members of BDCC, the work which accounts for 95% of the contract value nearly 7 billion VND and profit is more than 350 million VND.

Completion of “Chimney foundation” by Mong Duong Project Management Board’s youth union in particular and BDCC’s in general is one of the activities for celebration of 55 year traditional anniversary of Bach Dang Construction Corporation (31/08/1958 – 31/08/2013).
