The contract signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Tran Huy Vinh – Director of Project Management Unit for Improvement of Environmental Sanitation Conditions in Hai Phong City (Owner’s representative), representative of consultant (Nippon Koei Co.., Ltd.,) leaders representing Le Chan District, Vinh Niem ward,  together with the attendance of media agencies, national and local Television to provide information about the ceremony.

Vinh Niem Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (Package B) under Hai Phong Sewerage & Drainage and Solid Waste Management – Phase I invested by Hai Phong People’s Committee. Main Contractor: Kumho E & C Co. (Korea). Joint-venture of Consultants: Nippon Koei Co.., Ltd. (Japan), CDM International Inc. (USA), Vietnam Water Sanitation & Environment Joint Stock Company. It was constructed near Dieu Hoa lake, Vinh Niem ward, Le Chan district, Hai Phong City.

Signing Ceremony

Contract of Package B is worth 180 billion VND, constructed on an area of 17.5 hectares with a design capacity and wastewater treatment of 36.000m3 / day, construction time: 42 months.

Hai Phong Sewerage & Drainage and Solid Waste Management – Phase I, using Japanese ODA loans with total investment for the entire project of 31 billion Japanese Yen, equivalent to 5,210 billion VND, in which Japanese ODA loans is 22.3 billion yen, equivalent to 3,810 billion VND, accounting for 73% of total investment; counterpart fund of 8.7 billion yen, equivalent to 1.400 billion VND, accounting for 27% of total investment.
