Prolonged National Highway No.5 Project is the first rank urban route, connected from the North Thang Long – Van Tri urban area to National Highway No.5 with a length of over 11.3 km, consisting of 3 bridges Dong Hoi, Phuong Trach and Dong Tru. The total investment of the project is 6,661 billion VND, by the Ha Noi People’s Committee.

This is one of the key transport projects in Hanoi. After completion, the project will contribute to improve traffic at the north of the city, connect the industrial zones, Bac Thang Long – Van Tri urban area, Dong Anh urban area, Gia Lam – Sai Dong urban area. The completion of urban the project is also to gradually improve the Skirt way 2 which contribute to relieve traffic intercity towards Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Hai Duong to Noi Bai international airport and the western and northwest provinces.

Bach Dang Construction Corporation – JSC is the contractor who constructed Package 9 of the project (from Km 7+650 to Km 9+750), the value is 307 billion VND. During construction of project, the Corporation required the Project Management Board to drasticly direct the construction units (Bach Dang 201 Construction JSC and Bach Dang Capital Consulting – Investment Company JSC) to maintain sufficiently manpower, construction equipment on site to ensure construction schedule, quality of work, labour safety as required by the project, recored and highly appreciated by the Employer. Conpletion of Package 9 is to contribute to finish the entire project (the project is for the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Ha Noi capital) according to the construction schedule and quality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai highly appreciated the efforts, of the Ha Noi city, the contractors in completing the Prolonged National Highway No. 5, the greatest transportation project implemented by Ha Noi city. This is the specific step of transport development strategy of the Capital. The prolonged national highway No.5 opened to traffic and brought in use is to contribute significantly to economic – social development of Hanoi City and the Red River Delta region.
