City leaders, representatives of international cooperation agency JICA (Japan) started construction package A1; A4: Project of rainwater, wastewater and solid waste management in Hai Phong, Phase 1

Mr Dan Duc Hiep – Vice Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee made speeches at the ceremony of packages A1, A4

Attending were Mr. Duong Anh Dien, deputy secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the city; Nguyen Thi Nghia, Deputy Secretary of Standing Party Committee, Head of Haiphong National Assembly delegations; Mr Dan Duc Hiep, Mr Le Van Thanh – deputy chairmen of Hai Phong; City People’s Committee; representative for JICA Office in Hanoi; representatives for leaders of contractors as Bach Dang Construction Coporation and Irrigation Construction Corporation.

Package A1 includes construction items of wastewater sewer line No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and the path to the wastewater treatment plant in Vinh Niem with the contract value of nearly 367 billion VND executed by Bach Dang Construction Corporation in the period of  36 months. Package A4 builds and renovates Vinh Niem Lake, Trai Chuoi lake, box culverts of Ba Tong, Thuong Ly, Trai Le; contract value of more than 416.7 billion VND  executed by Irrigation Construction Corporation. The above packages were approved by Hai Phong City and JICA. Along with the package items of A1, A4, other packages will be executed when completed and put to use for solving basic sanitation problems of downtown area, upgrade and expansion of rainwater drainage systems, solve flooding in four districts, improve green-clean-beautiful environment.
